The True Is A Moment Of The False

You sell me everything I dream
You tell me what it means
You colonize my every thought
Emotions are sold, new ones bought
Watching you, watching this, watching that
All attention. Comfortably sat?
Into you I am receding
No longer directly living
Fragmented views of reality
Group themselves in unity
Indirect passive pseudo-world
A representation for the herd
Inversion of life, now a thing
All is taken, nothing is given
Defined by propaganda, news
Advertise, image, pseudo-views
Model of life, entertainment
Death? It's just an embarrassment
The sun never sets on your show
No night or day, no time to go
Subjected, stunned, I turn to you
Dejected, dumb, you tell me true
No longer the person I have been
All that remains is what I've seen.

Drunk And Stoned

I was drunk and she was stoned
In her eyes I saw only sorrow
I was tired, feeling all alone
I asked her to stay till the morrow
She did not smile, just nodded her head
I wondered if she were mentally ill
If she had understood what I had said
Of her, I wanted to drink my fill

I brushed back the hair out of her eyes
From what great pain did she need to hide?
She leant her head upon me and started to cry

It was not to be as I intended it to be
Sobbing softly, she fell asleep eventually
Leaving me to drink, on my own, thankfully.

Beauty's Curse

You smiled at me, I wondered why
Lovely woman for whom all sigh
Vision of beauty, love and grace
No fault is found on beauty's face

You smiled at me, for all my flaws
My own beauty gone forever more
I saw you for who you were
You know the secret of beauty's curse

Hunted by envy's moral sneers
Desired, hated, jeered and feared
Fleeing the ugly and their spite
Seeking the dark, fleeing the light
You always give, you never strive
You live a lie, you hide to survive

My Kingdom For A Rose

I love roses more than my country
Dandelions more than might or power
I prefer carnations to democracy
A poppy is better than righteous war
I love lilies more than liberation
Rhododendrons more than equality
I prefer daisies to the rights of nations
Tulips are better than fraternity

As long as the sun rises every morn
And every day a child is born
And leaves burst forth on plants and trees
And love's perfume floats on the breeze
And sun and rain bring forth the flower
All struggle wastes the fleeting hour
A bush, a plant, a flower, a tree
Like me, grows and dies, glad just to be.

To Go In or Not To Go In

I was wandering through the streets of old Lisbon down by the docks one day. Though many of the buildings had been renovated and their walls covered with brand new tiles that shone in the sun, there was one derelict old building that made me stop and think.

I hadn't been feeling too good for some while, and as I looked at the old battered door, as green and sickly as I felt, I sort of identified with it, hanging on its rusty hinges, and with the whole derelict structure behind it, as empty as I was, except for the ghosts of the past. I touched the door, ran my fingers over the rough broken paint, and a voice in my head was tempting me to step in, to give up my walk along the river's edge, just to go in and lie down amongst the debris and the rats, and give in.

The door was the door to my tomb.

My hand was on the handle when I noticed an election poster, stuck on the wall next to the door. 'PCP' it said, 'The Portuguese Communist Party  -  The Struggle Goes On!'

I snatched my hand away from thedoor handle.

'Too right, Comrade!' I said, 'The struggle goes on!'

Sir Oswald Corbyn - Told You So

What a joy it is to be proved right!
I've been saying for a while now that the Pseudo-Left has a serious problem with anti-semitism, and of course more and more of these repugnant racists are sure to be outed from the Greens, the Nationalists, the Labour Party, the Bureaucratic Bourgeois Left in general. Many Socialists are in denial, and cannot believe that their seeming allies are such scum, but alas it is true.
Anti-Semitism is in the DNA of the Pseudo-Left. These people are NOT Socialists. They hate ordinary people. If they could, they would disenfranchise ordinary people. They believe that they are 'educated' and that they know better than us.
In their crazy sick world the bureaucratic bourgeoisie is 'Left' and the working class is 'Right'
A Socialism without the working class, one that worships the power of the State, had a name in the Thirties. It was called Fascism.
Socialism sees the problems in the world by analysing power structures, systems of domination. By altering the system the Socialist believes that our happiness will be improved, and people who do wrong may then, perhaps, do right
A Pseudo-Leftist wants to maintain, indeed expand systems of domination. It can only invent conspiracy theories to explain their failures. The pseudo-Leftist has to invent the Other  - the English, the Spanish State, these days Muslims too, and ever always the Jews.
Together they can unite in conformity and hate, resentful of all who manage to escape their drab servility.
